29 – 30 September

The artists shared their unique art practices from drawing, performative installation, large-scale sculpture and projections for this fully interactive, immersive live art event.

Day 1: Thursday 29 September

ActionSpace artists Claudia Williams and Chandrakant Patel shared their drawing and projection artworks across two immersive installation spaces. Participants were invited to create alongside them, responding through drawing, collage and projection to the artists’ work. This event was best suited to audiences who prefer a calmer environment, enjoy drawing, portraiture and film projections.

Day 2: Friday 30 September

ActionSpace artists Linda Bell and Pop up Pardip (Pardip Kapil) shared their performative installation and large scale sculptural artworks. Participants were invited to work alongside Linda to create interactive sculptures that explored movement. Pop up Pardip shared his evolving installation of boxes, bags, costumes and music. This event was suitable for audiences who enjoy sensory, interactive artworks with lots of movement and loud music played at intervals.

About Make It Live

‘Make It Live’ is ActionSpace’s experimental live art programme led by ActionSpace artists, Claudia Williams, Linda Bell, Chandrakant Patel and Pardip Kapil. Each artist has developed new ways to share their unique creative ideas and artworks through online and in person participatory workshops and events. ‘Make It Live’ is the culmination of 2 years of live art experimentation, exploring the possibilities for sharing live art by learning disabled artists with autistic and disabled audiences and participants. The artists have led multiple workshops, sessions and events online and in person with groups and individuals across London, inviting participants to work alongside them to develop their own creativity and together create new work. The ‘Make It Live’ event showcases elements of the artwork and creative interactions explored during this experimental programme.
