ActionSpace artist Nnena Kalu featured in We Contain Multitudes, a major group exhibition at DCA, Dundee.

The show brought together four artists whose work is shaped by the body, its gestures, limits, and lived realities. Across sculpture, drawing, painting, photography, and moving image, Nnena’s practice explored movement, space, and energy, creating works that are both physically present and deeply reflective of her experiences.

The exhibition title came from Walt Whitman’s Song of Myself, celebrating the capacity to hold multiple, sometimes conflicting, identities and experiences.

We Contain Multitudes was part of a three-year collaborative project between Collective, DCA, and LUX Scotland, funded by the Paul Hamlyn Foundation, working to create systemic change in the visual arts and ensure disabled artists’ expertise, creativity, and experience are valued and visible.
