Action Space London Events Ltd, trading as ActionSpace, is a charity (charity number 289618, company number 01816088). Our office is at Cockpit Bloomsbury, Cockpit Yard, Northington Street, London WC1N 2NP.

What information we collect

• We collect personal information when you:
• Apply to take part in our services
• Sign up to a newsletter
• Buy a ticket for an event
• Make a donation
• Fill in an online survey
• Visit our website

This may include your name, address, email address, IP address, and which pages you view on our website. If you buy a ticket or donate online, our payment providers collect your card or bank details directly. We never see or store this information ourselves.

How we use it

• We use your information to:
• Send you things you’ve asked for, like a newsletter or event updates
• Process a donation or ticket purchase
• Carry out a contract you’ve entered into with us
• Ask for your feedback on our services
• Let you know about changes to our services

We only use your information this way because you’ve either given us consent, we need to in order to fulfil a contract with you, or we have a legitimate reason to do so, such as reporting to a funder.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell or rent your information, and we don’t share it with anyone outside ActionSpace for their own marketing. We do use a small number of trusted service providers to run our website and deliver our services. They can only use your data to provide that service, under a contract that requires them to keep it secure.

We’ll only share your information more widely if the law requires it, for example to prevent fraud or in response to a court order.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies from Google Analytics to help us understand how it’s used, and from YouTube and Vimeo when you play an embedded video. Full details of the cookies we use, and how to control them, are in our separate Cookie Policy.

How long we keep your information

We only keep information for as long as we need it. Some examples:

• Newsletter sign-ups Until you unsubscribe
• Event tickets and donations 6 years, for financial record-keeping
• Website analytics data As required by our funders’ reporting rules
• Survey responses As long as needed for the purpose you gave it for

Your rights

Under data protection law, you have the right to:

• See what personal information we hold about you
• Ask us to correct anything that’s inaccurate
• Ask us to delete your information
• Ask us to restrict how we use your information
• Object to us using your information in certain ways
• Ask us to move your information to another organisation

To use any of these rights, email info@actionspace.org. We’ll respond within one month and there’s no charge, unless your request is repetitive or clearly unreasonable.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Your choices

We’ll only contact you by email, phone or text if you’ve said it’s okay. You can change your mind at any time by emailing info@actionspace.org or calling 020 7209 4289.
