As part of A New Direction’s I Am Festival 2025, ActionSpace artist Benjamin Allen, delivered a workshop at Tate Modern, working with young people from The Inclusion Project and Woodfield School. The workshop, which centered around experimental art-making, allowed participants to explore various creative processes, all in alignment with the festival’s theme, ‘Make Some Noise’.

The I Am Festival, delivered by A New Direction, brings together Deaf, disabled, and neurodivergent children and young people, providing a platform for their voices and talents. Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, the festival fosters collaboration, inclusivity, and creative exploration. Benjamin’s workshop provided the participants the opportunity to express themselves freely, try new artistic techniques, and contribute to the celebration of diversity through art.

Benjamin’s hands-on approach guided the young participants in exploring their creativity, allowing their unique perspectives to shine through in their works.
