Profile

Amita Ramchandani is a British-Indian artist and long valued member of ActionSpace for over twenty years.

Through an intuitive, layered approach, she creates tactile works that blend painting, collage, and sewing. Her energetic, sculptural pieces evolve over time, incorporating hand-stitched textiles rooted in her family’s traditions. These elements merge physicality with cultural significance, creating compositions that are both vibrant and deeply personal.
