ActionSpace is an incredibly important part of Studio Voltaire’s artistic community, having been in our studios since 1999. Built on a shared commitment to inclusive practices and celebrating excellent art, our partnership has developed significantly over the years, and we have greatly benefited from their knowledge and experience. We have partnered on a range of activities, including exhibitions, residencies and public programming, as well as behind-the-scenes sector work.

When I joined Studio Voltaire in 2003, I had little contact with people with learning disabilities and complex needs, both in my personal and professional life. As a curator, I have gained so much from both ActionSpace and the artists working in their studios. It has profoundly changed my understanding of artmaking and my approach to supporting artists. ActionSpace is truly radical, generous and brilliant.
