ActionSpace artists Andrew Omoding and Nnena Kalu are profiled in the new book ‘Nonconformers: A New History of Self-Taught Artists’ by curator and writer Lisa Slominski. Published by Yale University Press, the book is an international history of artists often identified as ‘self-taught’ and advocates for a more nuanced understanding of modern and contemporary art. It covers international artists from the twentieth century to the present day across a range of practices.
