Tony Allan featured in Shape Open: February 2016

A sound piece by ActionSpace artist Tony Allan has been selected for this year’s Shape Open.

 

My Life: Shape Open 2016

The theme for 2016 is My LifeTony Allan has created a sound piece titled: You should give people a chance. It is based on his experience of getting lost for five days with no one to ask for help and no one listening to his calls for help.

The Shape Open is an annual call-out for disabled and non-disabled artists to submit work in response to a disability-focused theme.

I want everyone to take notice of what I’m talking about and take time to listen to me. I am fed up with keeping repeating everything because people are ignoring me. My sound piece is unusual for me; it's usually written. I want people to stop and listen and take notice.
