South London: Studio Voltaire
ActionSpace’s has been based at Studio Voltaire in Clapham since 1999. It’s home to artists such as Nnena Kalu, Pardip Kapil, Kwaga Sillingi, Linda Bell, and more.
Led by Charlotte Hollinshead (Head of Artist Development) for over 30 years, and supported by a team of Artist Facilitators, this studio is a hub for bold, experimental and often large-scale practice.
As one of our longest-running studios, ActionSpace at Studio Voltaire has been a launchpad for artists to exhibit internationally and build lasting careers. The building itself has a rich and layered history. Once a Mission Hall and Sunday School in the 1890s, later a metal foundry, and now a leading arts space following major redevelopment in 2021.
