On 13 July, Nnena Kalu shared her artistic practice with students at JFK School in Newham, during their art week.

She led by example, working alongside the pupils to create large-scale temporary structures that can be engaged with and played with.

Nnena binds and layers materials together, creating raw and intense artworks. Nnena’s sculptural work is constantly evolving: individual pieces are never really finished but continue to change, to grow, to merge, to come apart again.
