Artist statement
My artwork is all about comic books. I am a superhero artist.
I make pictures of Spider Man (he’s my favourite).
I have liked superheroes since I was a kid.
I like that superheroes save people.
I like to use my own pencils and loads of pens.
Profile
Nicholas Harris (Nicky) makes portrait pictures of superheroes. His drawings reference comic books and films, depicting well-known superheroes re-invented in his own style with his unique colour palette. Nicky also creates his own characters and works primarily in pencil, pen and ink to bring them to life. He works prolifically and the portraits come together to create a larger band of heroes out of both the dreamt up and famous characters.
