Drawing with Daniel Seneviratne

Daniel's artwork, a felt tip drawing on paper. There is a selection of circle and triangular shapes next to each other, coloured in various, stripy colours.

For the final event of Brent Culture Switch, artist facilitator Emily Rees-Haynes worked with ActionSpace Brent studio artist Daniel Seneviratne to create a drawing workshop inspired by Daniel’s distinct, multicoloured drawings. ActionSpace invited students from The Village School in Brent and asked our followers across social media to take part in Daniel’s drawing workshop.

Here is a selection of the drawings created:

The year 3 class at St. Ignatius primary school in Haringey also created artworks inspired by the workshop and used the workshop as an opportunity to talk about learning disabilities and diversity.

This workshop is part of the ActionSpace programme of exhibitions and events for the Brent Biennial and Brent 2020 London Borough of Culture.
